Jew kids feel discriminated against- why?- because santa doesnt give them toys…he doesnt give them toys because they are Jewish. Christmas doesnt have much to do with Christ these days anyway, but I still wouldnt feel right celebrating it until I know for sure your opinion: Is Jesus really the son of God? I mean think about it.. in those days you would be killed for adultery. Of course Mary lied and said what was popular: “I am carrying the child of God! Dont kill me!! I am a virgin!!” Now days someone would just say: “No! Please! That famous rockstar got me pregnant!” Yea, that would pass.
So anyway, I ask my mom if Jesus is the son of God and she just gave me a dirty look. Yes, the ever hypocrytical alchoholic Mormon gave ME a dirty look

I don’t believe so. I used to believe so because that is what I was taught growing up but I started thinking about it and the whole thing just didn’t add up to me.

Hmm. My Jewish friends don’t feel discriminated against, unless people actually make insulting comments directly towards them.
However, to answer the question, I don’t know. In the original writing of the Bible, he actually WASN’T. That happened when it was re-written 300 years later…

I believe that a historical person named Jesus lived and was a wise teacher, like the Buddha.
I do not believe God ever existed.

Jesus’s birthday was not in December though. The date was changed in an attempt to convert Pagans who celebrated the holidays Saturnalia and Brumalia then.

Well, 15 year old female, I believe He is, but that doesn’t make it so, and even if it did, it wouldn’t make it so for you. What do you think? Are you the child of your father? How do you know? Your mother could be lying about who your father is. Jesus gave us many, many proofs of Who His Father is, and I dare say His proofs were far more convincing than any you may have that you are YOUR father’s child.

Well no one knows for sure. Some believe it on blind faith. I think the words of Jesus are more important than if he is the son of God or not. He was a great teacher who taught that we should all love one another and not hurt each other. That is the best part. Actually If you believe in God then we are all sons and daughters of God.
Jesus’ real birthday was somtime in April. That’s when the star of Bethlehem was there.

Jesus is just another version of the Pagan Gods. Look into it. There were many Pagan Gods like Osiris that did most of the things Jesus supposedly did(like walk on water, turn water into wine, born of a virgin, died and was resurrected, ect. ect.) and this was hundreds of years before Jesus ever came into the picture. Like God said hey they got some good ideas for there fake Gods, I think I will do that with my Son.

Yes, he is the Son of God..he gave his life for you and me,,he hung on a cross and suffered when he could have called ten thousand angels to come to his rescue..He did that for you and me…When he was on the cross, he looked ahead in time, and he saw you,,,he knows you,,,he knows every hair on your head…and he offers you the gift of eternal life if you accept him and ask him into your heart..Yes, Jesus is the Son of God..

Yes Jesus is the son of god, the messiah. There are 108 requirements of the messiah in the bible that have to be fulfilled. Jesus fulfilled every one. Now you are right that Mary would be stoned for adultery. That’s why Mary and her husband kept her being pregnant very quiet.

Bible says he was and why shouldn’t we believe it. He raised the dead? walked on water and fed the multitudes. So his birth was hardly the thing they were going by. The fact he cured sick people is a fact. Lot’s of things say yes he was God’s son.

Yes he is. I used to think that the father, son and holy spirit were the same. But their not. God sent Jesus, to be born from a virgin Mary was her name. God is a spirit, no beginning and no end. Jesus was a human on earth and then died for our sins and now he is in heaven with his father, Jehovah God.

Let’s begin with something historical :
Horus, born of a virgin on dec 25, died on a cross, 3 days later was risen from the dead. Worshipped around 3,000 BC in ancient Egypt. Attis of Frygia… same story, Krishna of India… same story. Dionysus and so many others… same stories.
The story of Joseph in the Old Testament : Joseph had a miracle birth, had twelve brothers, was sold by Judah for 20 pieces of silver.
Jesus… born of a virgin on dec 25, had twelve disciples, was sold by Judas for 30 pieces of silver, died on a cross, three days later was risen from the dead.
Jesus is the SUN, personified… as were Horus, Attis, Krishna, Dionysus and so many others. Before these personifications of the sun, people actually worshipped the Sun itself.
Allow me to elaborate a little here… the birth sequence is pure astrology :
Three kings followed the bright star in the east to find the Son of God and adorn him. The bright star in the east is Sirius.. the three kings are the three bright stars in the belt of Orion. On 25 Dec, they line up to point to the exact location of the rising Sun.

Yes hunny Jesus is the son of God & is also God himself. But don’t take anyones word for it read the Bible thoroughly, investigate it yourself, I’am a 28 year old male if that means anything, and when I was 15 I wasn’t sure about that myself but through years of life expierences and answered prayers, (PRAYERS TO JESUS) I believe everything the Bible says about Jesus!!!

well first of all your upbringing must be slightly flawed if you were raised mormon, 44,000 people to heaven? come on i have read the bible nowhere does god number the saved. it would be hypocritical for him to do so since he punished david for numbering his people. if you have doubts that mary was a virgin mother, then rediscover your faith and confront humility and ask your pastor or minister or what ever they call them in mormon. secondly is your mother a mormon or even a disciple of christ if she makes herself drunk? sin? yes? maybe a new view is good for you but remember this jesus, god and the holy spirit are one in the same as the trinity. dont look upon man for your answers discover it in gods word. read read read the bible. any questions? man all men or women will fail you but god will be there always. as far as christmas i is contrary to what jesus did in his teachings, he lead a humble life and was a devoted faithful being to his father; our father god. when jesus who was free from sin took upon himself the sins of the world, he seperated himself from god and the holy spirit as a man, and was the perfect sacrafice for mankind. freeing us from the consequences of our sins. in return all he asked for was faith.

Christians like to claim alot of things.
Christmas wasn’t celebrated as the ‘birth of Jesus’ until the 5th century. December 25 was the ‘birthday of Mithra’, Mithraism was the state religion of rom prior to them switching to Christianity. December 25th was also during the time of the winter soltsice in pagani traditions, with the ‘return of the sun.” Christians just changed the u to an o, and kept the holiday.
As far as the ’son of god’ thing. Actually it was a popular saying back in the day. The people of Israel would refer to themselves as the ’sons’ or ‘daughters’ of god.
In the Essene tradition of judism, ‘mary’ was a ‘temple virgin’. The term ‘virgin’ had a different meaning back in the day as well. They were temple priestesses that would invoke the spirit of their goddess and perform ritual *** acts with paying members of the ‘congregation’. The Essenes were the ones that kept the ‘dead sea scrolls’–gnostic scriptures that paint a different picture of ‘jesus’. This is where ya get the stuff that ‘mary magdolian’ was his wife/disciple. She wasn’t changed into a ‘prostitute’ by the catholics until the 5th century.
The use of parenthesis around the names is intensional, since they are translated names. It is interesting that Christians don’t use the REAL name of ‘Jesus’, especially when they claim to be doing things in HIS name?!?

Jesus was the son of God. Matthew, Mark , John and Luke all tell us. Jesus was also part God, He was God among us, on earth in human form. Jesus could heal sick, walk on water and cast out demons. He did those things as proof of who He was. He prayed to God ” Our Father” as we are to pray.

I believe that Jesus truly is the son of God. I have read somewhere that Jesus was either Lord, lunatic, or liar. I believe He is Lord. The other common option people try to say he was just a good person and wise teacher - but he himself claimed to be the son of God! So either he was lying or crazy, in which case he wouldn’t be a very good moral teacher, or he was telling the truth and he really is the son of God! Plus, looking at all the miracles he did, and that he rose from the dead (assuming you believe in those things), it seems very likely that he was the son of God.

Then why did the people at the time of Mary pbh believe her. I asked the question to many Christians but none of them could give me a proper answer.
