At first, I loved Ed Hardy. The designs were cool, the quality was high, and is was a brand for the elite. I bought myself some T-shirts, a couple pairs of jeans, the cologne, a belt, and even a watch. It was great.
But then, the brand set sail. And before I knew it, there was Ed Hardy shoes, sunglasses, scarves, underwear, socks, and jewelry. Then it went BEYOND clothing. Now there are Ed hardy beverages, kid’s electronic toys, bedding, barware, suitcases, car accessories, and just about anything you can think of! There is even an Ed Hardy cell phone out there! Now everyone at my school wears it, and it’s starting to become a little TOO popular. What I’m afraid of what’s happening is that those that made it popular in the first place are going to see it’s common popularity and just let fall to shambles.
So before the fad wears out, should I consider selling my aforementioned clothing on ebay or just keep it and ride this thing out?

This is what happens when ANYTHING becomes trendy. First you think its the best kept secret, then everyone on the block owns a piece of it. Its nothing new.
Its kind of like the Coach bags & accessories, they’re so completely overrated.
But yes, I worked in Macy*s and there was an entire department devoted to this brand- in women’s, men’s and accessories.
I would sell as much as you could on ebay. Its not impressive anymore once everyone can afford the same $92 tshirt you’re wearing.

Ehh well i’d say keep a few of your clothes that you like maybe a t-shirt and some jeans, and sell the other things now while its popular, to make some money off of it. So it’s a win win.

sure i mean, here’s how i feel about trends running their course. . some people catch on before it’s a trend (you) and others it takes longer (everyone who is wearing it now) , if you’re like me, you don’t want to be wearing the same thing everyone else is, so why not sell it while it’s still popular, and make some money off of it, otherwise, it’s just going to end up sitting in your closet for years until you eventually give it to goodwill. . although with used clothing it’s sometimes easier to sell it to a second hand store rather than sell it on ebay(ebayers usually want new stuff), i sell a lot of my old clothes at second hand stores (juicy sweatsuits anyone?!), you can make some decent money
